Hi! My name is Asia McGill and I am a journalist in my second year of graduate school at American University, where I’m working toward a Master’s degree in Journalism and Digital Storytelling, graduating in May 2025. I earned my Bachelor's in Journalism from Rider University in 2023, where I published feature articles and produced digital content for the school paper. 

Relocating from my home of New Jersey to Washington, D.C. has exposed me to diverse communities and unique reporting opportunities. I discovered my passion for food journalism through my experience reporting in the district, and I always strive to weave food into my storytelling as much as possible. 

Alongside my studies, I also own a home baking business, where I create food content and nurture my love for baking. As an aspiring food journalist, I’m eager to continue combining my interests in food, media, and storytelling to engage and connect with readers.
